The last week of July was marked by gathering Summer School participants and creating a mural on site. The process of making the mural involved practical learning and the application of knowledge acquired during the preceding online workshops. The participants were able to respond to the existing conditions on site, and to practice collective decision-making regarding changes to the final sketch created during online gatherings. These few working days, besides intensive collective work, included invaluable conversations about the socio-political, ecological, and emotional challenges faced by young people today, gatherings around bonfire, walks through the village and chats with locals, homemade cuisine, and introduction to the work of other artists and activists. The themes that emerged as relevant phenomena that cause concern and fear about environmental issues that found their place on the mural include the recent fires at the Duboko landfill and the lack of public disputes resulting in the uninformed, and lethargic state of the residents and uncontrolled logging for the construction of military-industrial complexes in populated areas, such as the newly opened ammunition factory Prvi Partizan near Four Waters Meeting Point.
