SUMMER SCHOOL 2024 |

HEKLER | 4 WATERS

Instructors: Jelena and Nataša Prljević

Jelena and Nataša held a space for collective movement, grounding and reflection on what collective care means to all of us. We activated our emotional thermometer, shared what we bring into the space at the moment, what is collective care to us, as well as what we hope to build together which took the form of a wall map open to other guests to interact with.

Instructor: Dunja Karanović

Dunja guided us through the cyanotype technique, the proto-photographic process of making prints using light and photosensitive emulsion. The idea was to archive a part of the process of joint reflection, mapping, and emerging environment through the technique, using notes, plants, and small objects that we come into contact with during school. By binding books at the end of the workshop, we got a collective herbarium/glossary of collective rest, ethics of care and opportunities for joint action.

Instructor: Sanja Vasić

Sanja held a workshop of collective reading in nature, based in collaboration she had with HEKLER (Anti Fear Assembly) in 2020 during the pandemic in an online format. Through the collective sharing of poetic texts (her own and from other authors) and discussion of individual choices, we discover and deconstruct, and at the same time create safe and fluid spaces for sharing private fears, worries, accumulated feelings and untold stories in a collective space.
